Public Comment

Emily Beyer opens up the meeting by doing a great job of stating the case for why the election should not be certified, on behalf of Nirvana. She points to the most obvious reason: the fact that Nate's campaign did the exact same thing and was not punished.

She was followed by Senator Megan Miraglia, who provided further reasoning. She points to the incompetency of the BOE. She questions how the rule is actually written, and argues that the rule only applies to something the candidate herself does (in this case, it was Meg and Emily, not Nirvana, that broke the rule). Lastly, she claims that the punishment was unprecedented and far too harsh, and that the Judicial Board did not act properly in their appeal hearing.

So far, their arguments are well coordinated, and persuasive.
