Stop paying attention to Alex Knepper

Are you angry about what he wrote in The Eagle? Well, this should make you a lot more angry: imagine him sitting back with his feet up, and a big smile on his face, absolutely loving every second of all this nonsense. He obviously only wanted attention, and thanks to those of you that have decided to make this the biggest news story to hit AU since Ben Ladner, he's getting it.

He posts all of the news stories that are written about him to his Facebook wall. He goes around commenting on other people's Facebook walls when they say something about him. In his wildest dreams, he could not have possibly hoped to have gained this much attention. Now that he has, he probably feels like the most important person in the world. Is that really what you wanted?

All of the anger and the outrage over what he wrote has overlooked a simple fact: this idiot is irrelevant. Nobody reads his columns (unless you make a big deal out of them), and nobody cares what he has to say. If he ever realized that, it would be much more crushing to him than any insults his detractors could ever throw at him. By making him a celebrity, you have fallen into his trap. This is exactly what he wanted.
