Assuming that Matt Handverger resigns from his post as Comptroller (as has been reported), that would leave a vacancy that President MacCracken would be responsible for filling. It would seem that the most logical choice for the position would be the person that lost (despite The Eagle's endorsement) to Handverger in the election last Spring.
However, in yet another exclusive, I have learned that Adam Ma'ruf is not interested in being considered for the position.
