What can be used as evidence?

There has been a motion from Handverger's counsel to rule anything that took place before he took the oath of office (May 1, 2009) as inadmissible as evidence. Speaker Dunham granted the motion. This keeps an email that Handverger had sent on April 21 out of the trial. It was an email that may have been quite damaging.
